Sarah Diener is a graduate of the University of Minnesota- Duluth with a BFA in Acting and minor in Dance. A Duluth native, she has quickly become an active member of the theatre community as actor, educator, choreographer, director, dialect coach and audience member! She is currently the Education Outreach Coordinator at The Duluth Playhouse, which keeps her busy teaching, directing and choreographing along with various outreach projects into the community.
She has graced the stages of many area theatres and some of her favorite past projects include The Sparrow (Renegade Theatre), Chicago (Duluth Playhouse), Reasons to be Pretty (Renegade), The Taming of the Shrew (Wisefool Shakespeare Company), Little Shop of Horrors (The Play Ground), Almost, Maine (Playhouse) and Collected Stories (The Underground).
In the summer of 2010, Sarah made her directing debut with the production of Jolly Roger and the Pirate Queen, performed by some fabulous 8-13 year olds in conjunction with the Tall Ships Festival. She has directed and/or choreographed for such Playhouse Children's Theatre shows as Charlotte's Web, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Never Ending Story and FAME Jr., Annie Jr and most recently, Little Mermaid Jr for the Playhouse Children's Theatre mainstage season.
In August, Sarah will be headed to Boulder, CO for new adventures! Accepted into the Theatre MA program at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Sarah plans to begin school in the fall of 2015, focusing on theatre education and special education.

Sarah will be playing Diana Barry in Wisefool Theatre Company's production of Anne of Green Gables. As a life long L.M. Montgomery fan, Sarah is thrilled to be taking on the dream role of Anne Shirley's bosom friend.

Sarah will be joining the cast of The Duluth Playhouse production of Les Miserables. She is ecstatic to be a member of the ensemble and is honored to be performing with such an amazing cast. As this was the first big production that she saw as a little girl in the same venue, she is happy to bring her Duluth theatre career full circle.
